A circa 1970 tall minimalist chrome table lamp with original linen shade by Nessen Lamps, a successor to the highly influential Nessen Studios lighting design practice founded by Walter von Nessen and his wife Margaretta in 1927.
Sleek chrome-finished design features a less common low profile 7-inch-diameter base upon which stands a 19.75-inch-tall slender cylindrical body topped by a tall, thin stem. Light switch conveniently located near top of body.
Dual ceramic sockets, fittings, and finial with white enameled finish. Retains “Nessen Lamps” label on underside of cast iron base insert. Includes original cream colored slub-weave linen shade.
