Robert Sonneman White Three-Arm Orbiter Floor Lamp with Marble Base, 1960s
$2,475.00
A fantastic 1960s Robert Sonneman “orbiter” three-arm floor lamp with rare white enameled globes and counterweights and white marble base.
Original finish on this minimalist mid-century modern classic is reminiscent of Arredoluce’s “Trienniale” floor lamp, with its adjustable globe-shaped metal shades and solid copper counterweight handles featuring seldom seen satin white enamel. They’re handsomely accented by an equally uncommon white Carrara marble slab base. In a line-up of Sonneman’s signature chrome “orbiter” or “eyeball” lamps, this clean and sophisticated configuration stands out as something special.
Ball joint-mounted chrome arms can be easily adjusted and fixed in a myriad of positions. Top third of pole is chrome, while the remainder has a satin black enamel finish. Original wiring with new plug.
