A charming and large circa 1970 framed oil painting on canvas by Robert McCaine depicting a young child in their birthday suit riding away on a tricycle.

Wonderfully captures the carefree and kinetic vibe of youth. Long sandy blonde hair and handlebar streamers blow wildly in the wind as the unabashedly butt-naked, tan-lined tyke peddles off into a bright and seemingly limitless future.

Confident, loose, and skillfully controlled brushwork on great display throughout. Color palette perfectly evokes a very nostalgic late-‘60s to early-‘70s design aesthetic that was awash in shades such as avocado green and harvest gold.

Signed “McCaine” at upper left. In original dark wood frame with brass-finish vinyl trim.

Wear consistent with age and use. Art in great vintage condition. Small, isolated area with some minuscule faint white spots at the bottom just left of center. White spot in bottom left corner is paint. Frame with a few small, light scuffs/dings. Corner trim gaps from age shrinkage.
