A super chic and sleek pair of uncommon circa 1980 postmodern birdseye maple and chrome trim nightstands or bedside chests of drawers.

Features gorgeous highly-figured birdseye maple throughout that reminds one of bubbling molten gold. Two drawers are separated from the top and each other by a pair of .88 inch recessed chrome (or perhaps polished silver metal) bands. Stands on a 3.88-inch-high recessed chrome base that reflects the floor and from some angles visually almost disappears, giving the wonderful illusion that the piece is floating just off the ground.

The dynamic contrast between the warm and cool finishes is even more striking in person.
