An exquisite and uncommon 1990s Burton-Ching Ltd. Biedermeier-style walnut round pedestal dining table with gorgeous and gleaming giltwood accents.

Top with bookmatched walnut veneer features softly flowing figuring, with a fine gilt line circle that’s echoed by those on its top and bottom edges. Below is a recessed double-notched shallow skirt bisected by a gilt trim detail around its perimeter.

Tapered doric column has a darker mahogany-toned finish with giltwood feather cap and dramatic giltwood foliate bottom. Tri-point base with gilt trim stands on fully-gilt foliate-motif bun feet. Base measures 27.75 in. tip-to-tip.

Hand-carved gilt-work is sensational throughout, with a bole-like red undercoat visible in spots that shows an attention to following traditional techniques and speaks to its antique-inspired character. Underside reveals hand-crafted woodworking details such as dovetail and dado joinery, as well as the Burton-Ching Ltd. metal badge.

Burton-Ching is renowned for their high-quality 18th and 19th century reproductions, with this uncommon piece that references early 1800s Biedermeier designs with some Regency-style touches being an excellent example.
