A very uncommon and striking circa 1900 hand-painted cherry tree motif vaseline glass vase done in the style of Daum.
Square, gathered form in vaseline glass—also known as uranium glass—that has a lovely faintly milky citron color in natural light, and a saturated glowing bright green color when exposed to black light.
Finely hand-painted blossoming cherry trees adorn two sides, with the realistic brown tree details and impressionistic red-dotted white blossoms giving the design a great sense of visual depth. Features a flared mouth with gilt-finished rim.
Beautifully done in a manner that strongly resembles contemporaneous highly collectible Art Nouveau works produced by Daum, the prominent and important glass studio in Nancy, France.

Good Wear consistent with age and use. In very good antique condition. A tiny spot of wear to gilt finish on one side of rim. A slight amount of shelf wear on underside. A bit of dirt residue on bottom corners of interior, likely correctible with careful cleaning.
