Offered here is a circa 1930s dresser designed by Donald Deskey for Widdicomb Furniture Company of Grand Rapids.
In its original paint color. This example evokes streamliner feel of the high Art Deco style with nautical celadon green and white colors of the sea. Pulls are accented with brushed aluminum and the front edge is tapered to the classical water fall streamlined style.
Deskey, who designed the interiors of the Radio City Music Hall in NYC, is the father of the “machine age design” of which this is an excellent example.
H 35 in. x W 42 in. x D 17.75 in. Bones are great, but condition is a little rough, you can refinish to match your decor, or leave as is.
