Enrique Garcel or Jimeco-Style Tessellated Bone Three-Drawer Dresser, c. 1980 ***SOLD***

A super chic circa 1980 tessellated bone three-drawer dresser in the style of Enrique Garcel or Jimeco Itda. Clean lines and perfect proportions, all clad head-to-toe in more than one thousand meticulously cut and placed off-white bone tiles. Finished with a protective clear coat. Drawers feature handsome square brass pulls and white painted interiors. Has an understated elegance and timeless aesthetic that would look right at home in a wide variety of interiors, and especially alongside similarly-styled pieces by Karl Springer. Marked on back “ Made in Colombia”. Though not otherwise labeled, the high level of craftsmanship on display throughout is on par with—and quite possibly by—notable Colombian designer Enrique Garcel or cabinet maker Jimeco Itda. Dimensions: Height: 25 1/8 in Width: 32 in Depth: 18 in Condition: Good Repaired: A couple bone tiles have recently been professionally restored using vintage materials indistinguishable from the original. A few nicks/marks were touched up at some point in the past with paint and/or lacquer. Wear consistent with age and use. In very good vintage condition. A couple naturally occurring darker marks in the bone, such as on drawer front at left. A few spots/marks that were retouched in the past are slightly different color than original. Light wear and brass patination.
