Hollywood Regency Asian-Inspired Lucite and Brass Table Lamp With Shade, 1950

A very striking and quite uncommon circa 1950 Hollywood Regency tall lucite table lamp with fabulous Asian-inspired solid brass accents and a vintage shade. Body of four lucite rods with brass band-like fittings and six-inch-square pagoda roof-like brass elements at top and bottom. On eight-inch-square, one-inch-thick beveled lucite base. Original great looking lucite and brass finial. 1970s off-white silk shantung cut-corner rectangular shade. Original socket with newer wiring and harp. We were unable to find anything else like it online, though it somewhat foreshadows similar more streamlined designs by Karl Springer or Herb Ritts, Sr. for Astrolite. Dimensions overall including shade. 17in wide x 13in deep x 33.75in high Lamp to top of socket is H 24 in. x W 8 in. x D 8 in. Shade is H 13 in. x W 17 in. x D 13 in.
