A likely bespoke 1960s Danish seven-foot-long teak bench.
Very clean and visually light design, especially for a piece of this size and purpose. Notable for the epic length of the uninterrupted teak top, and for the classic Scadinavian modern touch of sculpted solid teak stretchers that gently taper toward their mid-sections. The six slightly-tapered legs add to the impression of it being light on its feet.
While at its most fundamental level a bench that’s long enough to provide seating for an entire family or group of friends, that same attribute would also allow it to serve as a handsome place to display plants, sculptures, or a stack of prized books while still offering plenty of room for multiple people to sit alongside them.
