Poul Hundevad Danish Modern Teak Four-Drawer Chest of Drawers or Dresser, 1960s

A great-looking late-‘50s to early-‘60s teak four-drawer chest or compact dresser by Poul Hundevad (b. 1917–2011).

A classic and timeless Danish modern piece by one of the country’s preeminent mid-century master craftsman and designers. Features finely figured teak and all-wood construction. Four drawers with sculpted recessed teak pulls and striking dovetail joinery. Top drawer is 3.38 inches deep, and remaining drawers are 4.38 inches deep.

Back is stamped with Hundevad’s logo, Danish Furnituremakers Control mark, and “Made in Denmark”. Side of top drawer has inset metal Danish Furnituremakers Control badge. Stands on nylon glides.

Chest has been professionally refinished from top to to bottom, with very attractive results.
