$875.00

A charming set of three circa 1910 architectural and whimsical copper cake, jelly, or pudding baking molds from France and the Netherlands, with two bearing maker’s marks. Described as pictured from left to right: Mold at left with a crisply-done geometric Art Deco architectural form consisting of half-circles, triangles, and columns. “HÔTEL MÉTROPOLE CANNES” stamped on side, indicating this be a bespoke design for the former French Riviera luxury hotel. Wire attached for hanging. H 4.5 in. x Dia. 5.25. Mold at center with striking Belle Époque or Art Deco architectural elements comprised of six sharply-peaked taller forms sheltering rounded columns. Between them are shorter forms with angled edges and oval depressions. “23” and “14” stamped on side. Copper ring attached for hanging. French, and possibly dating from a bit earlier than circa 1910. H 4.88 in. x Dia. 5.5 in. Mold at right by notable Dutch baking and chocolate mold maker Cladder & Jansen with a delightfully whimsical multi-level scroll-like form. “CLADDER & JANSEN – Amsterdam” and “9″ and “8” stamped on side. Wire attached for hanging. H 4 in. x Dia. 5.5 in. (Height doesn’t include center tube, which extends .13 inches past rim of mold.) Dimensions listed are for mold at center.
